Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer from Newark New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. Her parents are gospel superstars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. The mother of Whitney Houston and her daughter started singing professionally in the church of New Hope Baptist in Newark when Whitney was only fifteen years old. They performed the back vocals for Chaka Khan's track in 1978 Im Every Woman. Later, she provided backing vocals to Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and her mother. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist with the New York-based funk band Material as well. It was her high quality of her singing together that brought the attention of the major record labels including Arista which she signed with in 1983, and with whom she was for the rest of her professional career. The first Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It was one of the most successful album by a musician. The album itself sold three million copies in its first year in the US as well as make 25 million copies worldwide, earning it the very first one of six Grammys. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987, featuring smash songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. It came with The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of music's best sellers. Although the film and the performances of the actress were not much praised, her soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her top single and album for several months. It sold over 44 million copies across the globe. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician who gave the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her drug addiction began in the middle of 1993 and by 1996, she had been a frequent user.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. She has also produced some of the network's weekend programs such the Evans & Novak' Late Edition and Inside Politics.' She also worked with other well-known channels, such as NBC and CBS.
